BOARDING INFORMATION
The care, safety and comfort of your dog is our #1 goal. We treat each pet as one of our own while they stay with us. Have a cuddler that needs holding and extra love? Got an athlete that need exercise? Or a dog with special needs? We can take care of them all.
We offer two sizes of secure kennel areas. The small size is still large enough to accommodate more than one dog, depending on size. The larger "suite" can accommodate two or more large dogs, or several small dogs.
Each kennel has a sliding dog door that opens to a chain link fenced outdoor area that is equal to the indoor run size, thereby doubling the space. The indoor runs are concrete, the outdoor runs are gravel with escape proof wire underneath. Both areas are easily sanitized, which is done daily. The outdoor area is covered by an overhang to protect the dogs from inclement weather. When the weather is mild, the dog doors are usually left open (when someone is in the building), allowing the dogs to choose whether to be inside or outside. Dogs are let out to relieve themselves throughout the day. The doors are closed at night after the last late night outing (between 10 and 11 pm). We have a Veterinary Technician living on the premises, who takes care of the dogs in the late evening.
Included with each dogs stay is a daily, outdoor, off-leash play time in our securely fenced recess yards. The entire outdoor dog area is additionally fenced with six foot tall wood privacy fencing. All interior fences are buried in the ground to prevent digging out. The perimeter fence is also reinforced at the bottoms with 18" of welded wire. We encourage you to bring toys if your dogs like to play fetch or frisbee. The recess time is about twenty minutes. Additional exercise - or just plain cuddle time - can be added for just $3 each session.
We feed twice a day, your food or ours. We feed and recommend Purina ProPlan -a high quality dry, chicken based kibble. We will take care of any special meal accommodations, supplements, or medicines, as long as you bring the supplies. If you choose to bring your own food, please bring only what is necessary and label it clearly with your dogs name. We provide (chewproof!) stainless steel food dishes and water buckets which are sanitized between every use.
Bedding may be brought for your dog as long as it can fit in our washing machine (if necessary). Be aware that some dogs may chew bedding during their stay, so expensive beds are better left at home. If your dog uses a crate, we will be happy to continue the same schedule here if you bring it.
We encourage the use of safe chew toys such as Kongs, TireBiters, Nylabones, and hard natural bones. Rawhide and small toys are discouraged, due to the risk of choking or blockage.
