Frequently asked questions - or even if you didn't ask, please
read!

Boarding:
Yes, a licensed veterinarian must administer vaccines to your
dog.  We don't allow self (or neighbor) administered
vaccinations due to the inability to ensure proper storage and
administration.  This is for the safety of ALL dogs staying with
us.  
We require Rabies, Bordetella and the Distemper/Parvo
Combo vaccine.
 Please allow a minimum of 3 days for vaccines
to take effect before boarding your dog!  We reserve the right to
refuse your dog if the required vaccinations are not current.

Yes, we really do close at
10 am and 6 pm for boarding pick up
and drop off.  If you need to be late, please call first to ensure
we can accommodate you.  Be prepared to pay
$1 per minute
past the closing time or come during our next available time.  If
you need to change your reservation, please let us know in
advance.

Yes, we will add damages to your bill if your dog destroys our
property.  Please bring enough for your dog to chew on and/or
order extra recess to alleviate boredom.  We can make
recommendations of appropriate items.

Yes, your dog(s) will have private recess time alone.  Due to the
unpredictable nature of canine pack dynamics, we will not dogs
at playtime.  This is for the safety of all dogs.  But yes, if they
prefer, they will see other dogs and can race each other along
the fence line as fast as they can go!

Yes, we will take your dog to the vet if an emergency arises.  
Travel charges are $40 per hour.  You will be contacted to
provide a credit card number directly to the Clinic.  In case of a
dire emergency, we will act on your behalf (you will sign a
release form when you drop off, authorizing us to do so) and
add the total to your final bill, immediately payable upon pick
up of your dog.

Yes, you can bring bedding for your dog.  Please limit the size
to what could fit in our washing machine if it needed too.  Your
king sized bed is truly over the limit of washability.  Costco beds
are perfect.

Holiday Boarding Cancellation Policy:  Reservations made
within 5 days (prior or post) of a holiday require a 50% deposit
to guarantee the reservation.  IF a cancellation is necessary OR
the reservation is shortened, the deposit will be refunded ONLY
if that reserved space is able to be filled by another client.  If
that space is NOT able to be filled, there will be NO refund.  
We appreciate your understanding of how cancellations affect
us and our other customers.
Grooming

Yes, we hand groom each dog start to finish (no assembly line
grooming) so you are expected to pick up your dog when
he/she is done (we will call you).  If you would like to run
errands or need to go to work for the day, we are happy to
provide daycare at a discounted rate of $10 (in addition to the
grooming total).  We will take your dog 'out' and provide water
and a snack while they wait for you to return.

Yes, cancelling or not showing up for your grooming
appointment takes money out of our paychecks and we have
bills too!  So there will be a 50% cancellation fee added to your
next appointment total if you don't give us 24 hour notice to try
and refill your appointment space.  Thanks for understanding
this!

Yes, we might need to reschedule you if you show up more
than 15 minutes late for your appointment.  We will try to call
and remind you,but if you are unable to arrive at the scheduled
time, we might be unable to complete your dog's SPAw
experience that day and will need to reschedule.  A 50%
cancellation charge may also apply to your next appointment.

Yes, we can give you suggestions for an adorable, easy to
maintain haircut for your dog!  And we'd be happy to show you
tools and techniques for at home maintenance in between
SPAw days.
